Prince Michael at court
Prince Michael of Kent attended proceedings at the Central Criminal Court yesterday and saw a London policeman and a robber sent to prison. Prince Michael was an observer in the No I court, where Sir James Miskin, QC, the Recorder of London, passed sentence in both cases.
David Hill, aged 39, a former Flying Squad detective, was sent to prison for 15 months for corruptly offering a £1,500 bribe to another officer to show favour to a suspect. Hill, of Ethronvi Road, Bexleyheath, London, had earlier pleaded guilty.
Ovie Abowe, aged 21, was jailed for 10 years for robbing building society offices of £57,000 while armed with an imitation pistol.
