Seeing justice done
LETTERS TO THE TIMES
From Mr. Neill Monaghan
Sir, Your report on the retirement of Mrs. Trixie Daw, the unseen voice of the Old Bailey, in today's copy of The Times (June 2), reflects the appreciation of many. However, your correspondent should know that the “statue of justice “ above the Central Criminal Court is not blindfolded since, it was said at the time of its erection, "Justice is not blind at the Old Bailey".
Yours faithfully,
NEILL MONAGHAN.
