REFRESHMENTS AT THE OLD BAILEY
The Recorder (Sir Ernest Wild, K.C.) at the Central Criminal Court yesterday suggested that arrangements should be made by which witnesses in waiting could get refreshments in the Sessions House, Old Bailey. Be said he had asked for this again and again. A juryman said that on behalf of himself and his colleagues he wished to say that there seemed to be very little luncheon accommodation for those who had to attend as jurors. The Recorder said he had brought the matter to the notice of the proper committee of the Corporation, and he understood that they had given it careful consideration but the great difficulty was the question of a licence and the hours.
